Therefore, since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy, we do not give up.2 Corinthians 4:1 HCSB

Remember when we read the therefores in the bible we have to ask what is it there for. meaning we have to look into the previous verse, paragraph, and chapter to find the context of this verse. Therefore what ministry is Paul talking about?

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:17‭-‬18 HCSB

The ministry of being transformed into the image of Jesus. Well, how is that a ministry shouldn't ministry look like teaching, preaching, evangelizing, or serving? Those are ministries in the church, but to be transformed in the image a ministry of to the world. The world wants to see Christians acting like Christian. Anyone who does not is called a hypocrite or laugh at because they are not acting as their savior.

Therefore, since we have the ministry of being transformed into the image of Jesus we do not give up! Why? Because the world is watching for People who will determine that Jesus is worth fighting for, living for, and serving. Now I do not mean fighting as fighting against other people to make them believe Jesus, but fighting against sin and the devil so that we may continue to strive to be a better Christian than we were yesterday, last week, last month, and last year.

For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way,  since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ. And we are ready to punish any disobedience, once your obedience has been confirmed.

We have been shown mercy by God in not getting things we deserve. First of all, we should be getting the punishment that Jesus took on the cross for us. So that we can be welcomed into His kingdom and have fellowship with Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. Instead of being sent to hell that was made for Satan and his fallen angels.

Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!
Matthew 25:41 HCSB

People were not created to be cast into the eternal punishment of hell because in the beginning we were created to follow God, But Satan deceived both Adam and Eve and cause this separation between them and all their offspring and God. But to be transformed into the image of Jesus is our part of reconciling back to God. God's part of reconciling us back to Himself was done on Calvery some 2,000 years ago.

So how are you doing at being a positive example of Jesus? If you have failed at it for the past day, weeks, months, or years it is not too late to return back to God even if you have done it 490 times. He will welcome you back the 491st time. If you have done a perfect job of being a positive example of Jesus then call me today so that way we can talk and maybe I can learn something from you.

Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him.  If we say, “We have fellowship with Him,” yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth.  But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
