God does not work in secrete, but His works are evident to those who will look for them. But the Devil wants and tries his best to keep it all under wraps. The wise men in the Christmas story are an illustrated point of this.

There they are hanging out somewhere near Babylon. Having been taught all the ways of God until Daniel. But as they were watching and studying the night sky Something happened that made them realize that God was bringing about His Son, the true king of the Jews. It was so significant that they started their Jurney west to Jerusalem the capital of Isreal to find the one who was born King of the Jews. Now Herod being the king of Jews was unaware of all these things until they showed up. He had to have the Jewish leaders search the scriptures to find out where the King of the Jews would be born.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, wise men from the east arrived unexpectedly in Jerusalem,  saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east  and have come to worship Him.” When King Herod heard this, he was deeply disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. So he assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people and asked them where the Messiah would be born. “In Bethlehem of Judea,” they told him, “because this is what was written by the prophet:

God's plan was open to them but the Devil had blinded Herod.

You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you” — this is the Lord’s declaration. “I will restore you to the place I deported you from.”

God wants to be found by us, but the devil wants to keep everyone blinded just like he is so they cannot be saved. If this message finds you blind and lost in your sins turn to Jesus who can remove the veil and give you direction in your life. He is waiting for you. If this message finds you saved but confused turn to Jesus and He can give you wisdom and direction. If this message finds you saved but cold turn to Jesus who can break your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. If this message finds you find Jesus and let Him take off the veil so that you may see all His glorious works in your life and the world.

For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.

The Word of God is #1 living!

​ I want to take the next 4 to 6 posts in BQTT to dwell on what “the word of God is”. The Word of God is #1 living! In our hands, we do not hold some dusty old relic of some 35 to 40 authors. But a living book written by God through the hands of many different people over 1,000’s of years. Have you ever been reading a normal book and a few words jump off the page to say, “Hey, read me again.”? I bet there have been very few times this has happened, but now, how often have the words written in the Bible done that for you? If you spend any amount of time reading the Bible I would say it has happened more than the normal literature.  Last night I was lying down and a verse reference popped into my head. I did not immediately know the words of this verse but had to look it up.  The verse was, “Who makes a god or casts a metal image for no profit?” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭10‬ ‭HCSB ‬‬ This is another aspect of the Bible being alive.
