Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.2 Corinthians 4:7 HCSB
What treasure do we have? What extraordinary power do we have?
Paul only uses treasure in 2 Corinthians once. So like therefore we have to look back to previous, paragraphs and chapters to find it. I think our treasure is found in verse five of this fourth chapter.
For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves because of Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:5 HCSB

Our treasure is Jesus Christ as Lord. The excitement of finding this treasure is that we get to proclaim Him crucified, dead, and raised on the third day. Which is the gospel of the kingdom of God. Jesus even compared this to finding treasure.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field."
Matthew 13:44 HCSB

The kingdom of God is only found in Jesus as Lord! Here is a shocker to most people, The kingdom of God is here now and will be fully in power when God sets up His throne here on earth.
So then, what is the extraordinary power that we can have now! The power of the Holy Spirit!
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 HCSB

Then He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”
Mark 16:15-18 HCSB

He also said to them, “This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day, and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”
Luke 24:46-49 HCSB

Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” After saying this, He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 HCSB

Our power is based on the work God has for us to do called the great commission.
You will have power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. You will be My witnesses in your immediate relationships. But I will send you out to ends of the earth to preach Jesus, the Gospel, to make learned followers of Me. Receive the Holy Spirit to empower you to stop all the curses of the devil found in serpents, scorpions, and people. you will encounter demons, cast them out by the power The Holy Spirit brings into your life. But remember and rejoice your name is written in My Lamb's book of Life.
The Seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.” He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like a lightning flash. Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you. However, don’t rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:17-20 HCSB

I did not see a sanctuary in it, because the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its sanctuary. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s glory illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. Each day its gates will never close because it will never be night there. They will bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. Nothing profane will ever enter it: no one who does what is vile or false, but only those written in the Lamb’s book of life.

The same power that raised Jesus lives in us by the Holy Spirit, therefore walk in your resurrected life Just like Jesus is!
The treasure is Jesus and the power is the Holy Spirit works in and through us to worship and love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to tremble at His Word.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
Mark 12:30 HCSB

My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at My word.
