I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of His power.Ephesians 3:7 HCSB
The Lord hates six things; in fact, seven are detestable to Him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that plots wicked schemes, feet eager to run to evil, a lying witness who gives false testimony, and one who stirs up trouble among brothers.

I think Paul could have been guilty of all seven of these sins. He was arrogant in the fact that he had a letter from the ruling officials to seek out followers of The Way. He was guilty of lying about the followers of The Way. He was guilty of shedding innocent blood of Stephen and other followers. He devised wicked plans to keep arresting and killing them. He was eager to run to do what was contrary to God's plan, evil. He would give false witnesses of people in court who followed Jesus. His persecution of the church was the main reason why the gospel left Jerusalem and Isreal. We can safely say that God hated Paul, but because of his zeal against the church God decided, planned, to use him for good in His church.
Every saint in the Bible has their faults listed in the Bible.
Adam disobeyed God.
Noah liked his wine.
Jacob played favoritism with his kids.
Joseph was impatient to get out of jail.
Moses killed one man.
Joshua believed people's words rather than God's word.
Gedeon worshiped his success rather than God.
Samson liked his women.
Eli would not correct his sons.
Samuel would not correct his sons.
Saul turned his back on God.
David committed adultery and murder.
Solomon turned from God because of his many wives.
Jonah waited to watch the destruction of Ninevah.
Isaiah had unclean lips.
That is just some of the people of the Bible that were used by God. What is our excuse? Why are our faults bigger than their faults? Notice that some of their faults came out after they were used by God; Noah, Gedeon, Eli, Samuel, Saul, Solomon, and Jonah. But then many of them had reasons why God could not use them; Moses, Gedeon, Saul, David, and Isaiah.
