The love of Jesus is that He laid down His life for all the people of the world, everyone past, present, and future. Jesus laid down His life for everyone from Adam and Eve to the last person born during His 1,000-year reign. 

This was his mission here on earth.

The love of Jesus is uncomprehendable to those who have not yet been drawn to Him. Why would a just and holy God come to earth and walk with a perverse and sinful people? Why would a God subject Himself to the cruel torture of dying on the cross? Why would He allow sinful men to treat Him in that manner? Because He loves them all. Because He had to restore the relationship between then and His Father God. So that they could have a restored fellowship like God had with Adam and Eve. 

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and they hid themselves from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

God was available to Adam and Eve. He spent time with them. They recognized His footsteps in the garden. But after they ate from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil they hid from the presence of God when He came walking into the garden. 

Jesus came to restore this kind of fellowship with God.

​ The women with the issue of blood Soon after I was married our pastor’s wife gave a message called “The Hem of Him” and this woman was the main subject of her message. She talked about how she had to press through the crowd to get to Jesus. She talked about how she was unclean and should not be in the crowd. The Word of God is #1 living!

​ I want to take the next 4 to 6 posts in BQTT to dwell on what “the word of God is”. The Word of God is #1 living! In our hands, we do not hold some dusty old relic of some 35 to 40 authors. But a living book written by God through the hands of many different people over 1,000’s of years. Have you ever been reading a normal book and a few words jump off the page to say, “Hey, read me again.”? I bet there have been very few times this has happened, but now, how often have the words written in the Bible done that for you? If you spend any amount of time reading the Bible I would say it has happened more than the normal literature.  Last night I was lying down and a verse reference popped into my head.
