I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.Ephesians 3:16‭-‬19 HCSB

7. So you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

How are we to be filled with all the fullness of God? We are to be strengthened through His Spirit. The Messiah is to dwell in our hearts. And we are to comprehend the love of The Father. When all three persons are working in our lives then we are living in the fullness of God. But when we limit the work of one of them then we are limiting God!

How do we limit The Holy Spirit?

Do not quench [subdue, or be unresponsive to the working and guidance of] the [Holy] Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 5:19 AMP

By being unresponsive to the moving and workings of the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit tells us to do something then we are to do it. If the Holy Spirit wants to act through you do not stop Him!

How do we limit Jesus?

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Colossians 3:16 CSB

We stop letting the Word of God dwell in our hearts. We stop reading our Bible. We stop listening to Bible. We stop being an encouragement to the church and the world around us.

How do we limit The Father?

The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

We stop loving and we display God in a way that is not loving. When we ascribe attributes to God that are not constant with His charter of love then we limit God from loving in our lives. God is not up in heaven waiting for us to screw up so that He can send fire down to do us in, but rather He is in heaven waiting for us to repent so that He can walk with us in the garden of life.

Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being. The Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there He placed the man He had formed. The Lord God caused to grow out of the ground every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The Lord God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and watch over it. And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree of the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die.”
Genesis 2:7‭-‬9‭, ‬15‭-‬17 HCSB

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and they hid themselves from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. So the Lord God called out to the man and said to him, “Where are you? ”
Genesis 3:8‭-‬9 HCSB

God is asking where are you! Are you seated waiting for God to come and talk with you? Or are you hiding from God because of the sins in your life, or the call He has for you? God desires us to be the first, to be sitting ready to listen.

Paul's prayer is that you will be empowered by the Holy Spirit, filled with Jesus, and God's love would permeate all of our lives. So that the fullness of God would fill our lives!
