A ruler asked Him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? ” Luke 18:18 HCSB
The rich young ruler had an elevated view of people. I see him following anyone and everyone. If he had YouTube he would watch every preacher and believe everything that said. Every teacher would be good in his eyes. He was hungry for the word of God but lacked the disciple to study out what they told Him was true.
The people here were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, since they welcomed the message with eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

What about us? Do we watch every preacher on YouTube and decide that everyone is good? Or do we take notes and compare them to the only good standard, the word of God?
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
