“Then when he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord; for he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and faith. And considerable numbers were added to the Lord.” Acts 11:23-24 NASB2020
Barnabas was the real deal. He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and full of faith. And because of that, he was able to challenge the church to remain true to the Lord. Then because the church was true to the Lord considerable numbers were added to the Lord.
Why have we not seen considerable numbers added to the Lord in the past 30 years? God has not changed. Jesus has not changed. The Holy Spirit has not changed. The world has not changed. The Saints in the church have changed. We have churches that say they are a church of Jesus, but they have become lukewarm and no longer serve Him with a resolute heart.
I want to challenge us to start living today with a resolute heart to remain true to God in the knowledge that we have been given.
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, so that we may follow all the words of this Law.”

Don't be like the religious leaders of Jesus’ day.
“You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you, by saying: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”
