Trumped-up charges

Festus is appealing to King Agrippa to help him write a letter of the charge against Paul to Caesar because he does not want to send Paul to Caesar without indicating the charges against him. The Jews leaders’ charge against Paul was not adding up to anything substantial. They had trumped-up charges against Paul all because some Asian Jews thought he had brought foreigners into the Jewish temple (Acts 21:27-29). 

Do you know that we are to live at peace with everyone around us and their only charges they are to accuse us of being against God? 

“But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect; and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who disparage your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.”

All the trumped-up charges that satan brings against us are covered under the blood of Jesus. 

“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.”

God does not look at us waiting for a chance to accuse us and finally send us out of His sight, but rather He looks at us with Love and Compassion waiting for us to repent and turn from our sins so that no one can accuse us.
