5 of 8 “I will not relent”
“The Lord says: I will not relent from punishing the Ammonites for three crimes, even four, because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to enlarge their territory. Therefore, I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah, and it will consume its citadels. There will be shouting on the day of battle and a violent wind on the day of the storm. Their king and his princes will go into exile together. The Lord has spoken.”
Amos 1:13-15 HCSB

The Ammonites lived east of the northern nation of Israel some of their borders were along the dead sea. This nation was born out of the youngest daughter of Lot.
“The younger also gave birth to a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi. He is the father of the Ammonites of today.”
Genesis 19:38 HCSB

Ben-Ammi was born from incest of a daughter sleeping with her father. Now in later years, the nation of Ammon is committing another sin by slaughtering the mothers who are with child in the town of Gilead. Killing both mom and baby in order to make their nation greater. This practice has recently been hampered here in America by the overturning of Roe vs Wade. Yes, abortion, it kills the baby and kills the mother. The physical death of one and a mental or emotional death of the other. In order to keep the population reduced among everyone who is not in the upper class of society.
There will be shouting on the day of battle and a violent wind on the day of the storm. Those who protest against the ruling of overturning Roe Vs Wade shouted but a mighty wind sweeping across the country has closed down 60% or more of the abortion clinics because some states have laws in the books that limit their power in their states if Roe vs Wade was overturned.
Every time that abortion was prevalent in a nation there was a type of savior. Exodus 1 tells us
“When you help the Hebrew women give birth, observe them as they deliver. If the child is a son, kill him, but if it’s a daughter, she may live.”
Exodus 1:16 HCSB

One boy born under this rule was Moses!
Matthew chapter 2 tells us
“Then Herod, when he saw that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.”
Matthew 2:16 HCSB

Jesus was saught in this attempt by Herod but He had already fled with His mom and dad to Egypt.
I am speculating that this was also a common practice among the people of Noah’s day and the Ark was built to be a savior of Noah and his family along with all the land-based animals.
“He defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of Hinnom, so that no one could make his son or daughter pass through the fire to Molech.”
2 Kings 23:10 HCSB

The King in 2 kings 23:10 was Josiah and this is God's testimony of him.
“He did what was right in the Lord’s sight and walked in all the ways of his ancestor David; he did not turn to the right or the left.”
2 Kings 22:2 HCSB

Who is our savior to rescue the children from the grips of death? Trump? The military? You and me? I want to say yes to all the above. But God knows for sure.
“Some people were even bringing infants to Him so He might touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. Jesus, however, invited them: “Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

A quote from the book and movie “Heaven is for Real” “God really loves the children!”
