Seek the Lord. Seek righteousness. Seek humility.
“Seek the Lord, All you humble of the earth Who have practiced His ordinances; Seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will remain hidden On the day of the Lord’s anger.”

Zephaniah is a prophet to the southern nation of Judah in which the city of Jerusalem is located. He is warning of the coming demise of Judah into captivity. He is calling on all people to seek the Lord! Not just the poor but the rich also. He is calling them to be humble and not arrogant like the rulers of Jerusalem in verse 15.
“This is the presumptuous city That dwells securely, Who says in her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she has become a desolation, A resting place for animals! Everyone who passes by her will hiss And wave his hand in contempt.”
Zephaniah 2:15 NASB2020

He is calling them to obey the ordinances of God. The word ordinance can also mean judgment and justice. He is calling them to be people who obey the ethics of God. Not just the rules of God but rather loving God with your whole life. Calling them to live with character and not religious piety. He is calling them to righteousness, right living, before God.
What is the benefit to all this right living and humility?
We can be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger. The humble people were left in the land while the arrogant were taken captive. Those who humbled themselves and sided with the invading army were given mercy while those who choose to fight against it were taken captive. The humble inherited the land while those exultant people were taken from their homes.
In our day will we be found humble in our day or will we be arrogant exultant fighters?
“Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.”
