The two things that will last through God’s fire
“I will completely remove all things From the face of the earth,” declares the Lord.”
Zephaniah 1:2 NASB1995

There is a promised day that God will once again purify the earth from the sin of man. He did it once and sent some water to flood the whole surface of the earth. But the second time God has declared that it will not be done by water but by fire.
“And I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.”
Genesis 9:15 NASB1995

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!”
2 Peter 3:10-12 NASB1995

“Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
1 Corinthians 3:12-15 NASB1995

Will our works survive the intense heat of God’s fire? Will our work last into eternity?
There are only two things that will make it into eternity, people and the Word of God!
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.”
Matthew 24:35 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/mat.24.35.NASB1995
“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.”
Psalms 119:89 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.119.89.NASB1995
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”
John 10:27-29 NASB1995

God’s word is firmly established in heaven. Man’s path is not predetermined. God desires that all sons and daughters of Adam will get to heaven, but He cannot make you get there. You have to decide to go yourself. God provided the way through Jesus. Will you decide to take Jesus' offer? Will we then work to disciple as many people to be Christians as we can so that our work can be tried in the fire of God and not be sent to the eternal fire of hell?
“I will bring distress on men So that they will walk like the blind, Because they have sinned against the Lord; And their blood will be poured out like dust And their flesh like dung. Neither their silver nor their gold Will be able to deliver them On the day of the Lord’s wrath; And all the earth will be devoured In the fire of His jealousy, For He will make a complete end, Indeed a terrifying one, Of all the inhabitants of the earth.”
