A wall of fire!
“For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ””
Zechariah 2:5 NASB1995

Would you want to live in a city with a wall of fire that protects it? I would not if it were a natural fire, but a firewall that is God, yes, please! God has gone on record and declared that someday after 11-24-2 God himself will be the only thing protecting Jerusalem. There will be a day when Jerusalem has so many people and cattle that there will be no way to build a wall around it.
In verses 1 and 2 Zechariah meets an angel that is headed out to measure Jerusalem. So far, in chapter 2, we are not told what the measurements are but in Revelation, we find a Jerusalem that has walls and is huge.
“The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.”
Revelation 21:16 NASB1995

Just for a scale that is the distance from Mami Florida to Laurance Massachusetts. Or Hollywood to Lincoln Nebraska. Or Madrid Spain to Holme Olstrup Denmark. Or the total distance this guy ran in about 2 years (https://keepitupdavid.wordpress.com/2015/04/15/1500miles/).
In Zechariah, we find that God is the firey wall to protect the city. In Revelation, we find that there is no sun or temple. God is the light source and he will be worshiped in all of Jerusalem and the world.
But what about today? God is not worshiped everywhere! But we must be the ones who will worship God and he is still a firewall around those who are called by His name. Be the one who points others toward God so that they can too worship God and live in His protection.
