Set your desire to a better heavenly country.
“But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.”
Hebrews 11:16 NASB1995

When we put our focus on the fact that this world is not our home and we focus on our desires toward our heavenly home, God is not ashamed to be our God and He works to prepare a city for us.
“He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces, as I also have received authority from My Father;”
Revelation 2:26-27 NASB1995

But then the opposite is true. When we let this world be our only focus God is ashamed of us and is not working to build us even a mansion.
“For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
Luke 9:25-26 NASB1995

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
John 14:1-3 NASB1995

Set your mind on heaven and don't dwell on the enticing desires of this world.
