The will of God is not in sacrifices.
“After saying above, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second. By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Hebrews 10:8-10 NASB1995

Jesus was submissive to the will and plan of God. By doing away with sacrifices and being the sacrifice for us He was able to show us the true will of God, obedience!
“Samuel said, “Has the Lord as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.”
1 Samuel 15:22 NASB1995

King Saul had it backward. He was told to go and slaughter everything for it was all destined for destruction, but he kept back some of the spoil intending to sacrifice it to God. Maybe? But God did not worship by the spoils of war we wanted to be worshiped by the obedience of King Saul and because he was disobedient to the word of the Lord his kingdom was taken from him and would be given to David some years later.
This brings us back to Hebrews 10
“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”
Hebrews 10:36 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/heb.10.36.NASB1995
We need to keep up the faith to endure till the end so that way we may too not have our kingdom ripped from us but we get to behold the fruit of our obedience.
“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.”
Galatians 6:9 NASB1995

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
