Be peculiar for God!
“And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through His Spirit who lives in you.”
Does the spirit of God live in you? Is He alive in you? Is His fire burning in your life? Does He make intercession to God on your behalf? Does His power live in you to be a witness for God? Does He lead you in all truth?
“Do not quench the Spirit;”
1 Thessalonians 5:19 NASB1995
“In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.”
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
“When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.”
One thing I think is lacking in the lives of believers is the Holy Spirit of God. We have those in the Pentecostal churches that say the baptism of the Holy Spirit is needed for the life of the believer, but then spend the week not walking according to the spirit daily. And then we have denominations that say the baptism of the Holy Spirit was for the days of Jesus and the apostles. But I saw that we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit living in our lives daily! We need the Spirit moving in our lives so that the world will be convicted of their sins and that they will want Jesus and the Holy Spirit living in them, but we are the example. If we make Jesus and the Holy Spirit attractive the world will want both of them living in them also.
If we live by the Holy Spirit we will be peculiar people and we will make Jesus attractive to the world. But if we live normal lives in the world, doing the stuff the world does, then the world will have no desire for Jesus.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
