 The Runaway Car.

The next car on “The Discipleship Express” is The runaway car called “Separate from the World”. The difference from this runaway car is that we and God want it to run away!

Loving the World looks like keeping up with the Jones. We strive and seek after the wrong things. How nice our yard looks, or how many of these things we have, or how many shots of alcohol we can take. When we as Christ's followers compare our lives to the lives of others we take our eyes off Jesus and begin to love the world. But we must reprogram our minds to separate from keeping up with the Jones to seeking after God. 

When we seek separation from the world and unity with God we will begin to see the Will of God in and through our lives. And we will see the Jones as people to love through the sacrifice of Jesus and not a people that challenge us into more of the world. 

“Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”

Our worship is living for God and His Will is discerned by thinking like Jesus and not the world.
