The Bank Car: Give Generously
I have detailed out giving generously in the “Are You Robbing God?” post. What more should I say?
While reading through 2 Corinthians 9, I found this:
“You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God.”
2 Corinthians 9:11-12 HCSB
We often wonder if our giving is helping out. We hear that “every dollar helps“. It helped Paul! It helps the small ministry. It adds to the ability of every ministry. The kid’s ministry can help reach more kids. The teens can do more with them to give them a safe place to be! You name your ministry and I am sure you can find ways that your tithe benefits them. Praise God that He set up ways to fund His church, His body, and His ministry and He has decided to bless you in your giving. His blessing is not superficial, but a deep all-encompassing blessing. They are poured out of the floodgates of heaven to fill your labor with plenty of leftovers.
“Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this way,” says the Lord of Hosts. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.”
“Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure — pressed down, shaken together, and running over — will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
So is your giving making an impact? Yes! If nothing else in your labor! But God is the one keeping track, trust Him with the outcome!
