Good Works
Good works
Our actions impact people and God.
God notices and will reward us if we do not give up. If our actions do not line up with His plan He rewards us with discipline to purge it out. If our actions line up with His plan He rewards us with blessings beyond measure.
People notice our actions too. When it lines up with what they think the Bible says a Christ-follower should do, then they begin to praise God and think there must be something to what we believe in. When it does not line up with what they think the Bible says a Christ-follower should do they begin to discredit God and find Him repulsive.
Let us be about good works that please God and bring people closer to praising Him.
“But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”
“for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he kept him safe. When he heard him, he was greatly perplexed, and yet he heard him gladly.”
“Then he gave orders to the centurion that he should be kept in custody but have some liberty, and that none of his friends should be prevented from attending to his needs.”
These three men found themselves in prison but held on to faith and good works and won over their jailers. When we find ourselves in a prison of some kind we must hold on to faith and good works to obtain favor from God and man.
