“You will look for those who contend with you, but you will not find them. Those who war against you will become absolutely nothing.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:12‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

God will do for us what He has done for the generations before us. He is promising that those who contend and fight with us because we are followers of God will be no longer. The first way and certainly the best way is that they will be changed into God following Christians also. The second way is that He will remove them from your immediate world. And last of all but the most severe and dishearteningly is that God will move them from the world altogether. I am not advocating that we kill or fight with them but that God will take care of them.  God knew that if His people who love Him with all they have then the people of the world would come to Jerusalem to worship Him.  “Even for the foreigner who is not of Your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of Your name — for they will hear of Your great name, mighty hand, and outstretched arm, and will come and pray toward this temple —” ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭8:41-42‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ https://www.bible.com/72/1ki.8.41-42.hcsb “These are the t

“Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish.” Isaiah 41:11 HCSB

If God is holding us with His righteous right hand. Then what is His left hand doing? I believe it is judging. He is the supreme Judge. He made the universe. He made all the rules and laws. And He will judge everyone that breaks them. He set creation in order with the laws of nature.   Blessing and power is found in God’s right hand and judgement and wrath is found in His Left hand. We love the fact we can find protection in God but we forget that judgement is a part of who He is. We want blessings but when it comes time for discipline we run from it.  In the end discipline is what we need for growth.  “I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/gen.12.3.hcsb “However, I will judge the nation they serve, and afterward they will go out with many possessions. But you will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a ripe old age. In the

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/isa.41.10.hcsb

Because God has chosen us, then He is with us. He is our God. He will strengthen us. He will help us. He will Hold on to us with His Righteous right hand. Then we we can not fear and not be afraid.    Fear is our internal emotion while afraid is out outward display of fear. Someone can have fear but not show as being afraid. But God brings the peace of God to us so that way we don’t have to be afraid or fear. Like David while facing Goliath. He had a look that even intimated Goliath. He was determined to kill Goliath because he was mocking God. And God was with him to aid in his determination.  ““Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me.” John 14:1 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/jhn.14.1.hcsb Others fell on rocky ground, where there wasn’t much soil, and they sprang up quickly since the soil wasn’t deep. But when the sun came up they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered. Others fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked

“But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham, My friend — I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said to you: You are My servant; I have chosen you and not rejected you.” Isaiah 41:8-9 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/isa.41.8-9.hcsb

“But you My servant who I have chosen my friend - I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from the farthest corners. I said to you: you are My servant; I have chosen you and not rejected you.” What a great truth from God! He choose you and me and everyone to serve Him. It does not matter your age, your nationality, your gender he made you and welcomes you into His kingdom. If your feeling rejected repent and return back to God. He is our refuge.  “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.” Psalms 9:9 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/psa.9.9.hcsb God does not reject anyone but he will welcome everyone. It is up to us to want to serve and trust God.  “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you.” John 15:19 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/jhn.15.19.hcsb “On that day” — this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts — “I

Abraham obeyed God and He was called by God as friend. Because of the love Abraham had for God He was blessed and all mankind will be blessed by God. Blessing does not mean noting bad will happen it just means that God will turn around the bad to make it into something great. God did not just blessed Abraham all at once but over time and Abraham had to wait longer than most of us for God to provide.   “Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless? Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected. So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called God’s friend. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.” James 2:20-24 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/jas.2.20-24.hcsb Because Abraham believed God His kids would see the blessings o

“For who has known the Lord’s mind, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/1co.2.16.hcsb

Paul here may be quoting Isaiah 40:13 “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in the scales? Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or who gave Him His counsel? Who did He consult with? Who gave Him understanding and taught Him the paths of justice? Who taught Him knowledge and showed Him the way of understanding?” Isaiah 40:12-14 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/isa.40.12-14.hcsb We cannot tell the Sprit how to move we can only obey or not obey the Spirit. One way we can follow the leading of the Spirit is in prayer. He can tell us who to pray for and how to pray for them. Sure we may have our prayer lists of people or things we are praying for daily, but how about those times we have a person’s name dropped into our heart and they will not move out. That may just be the Spirit leading you to pray for them r

“The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone.” 1 Corinthians 2:15 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/1co.2.15.hcsb

Strong’s definition of evaluate is: to scrutinize, i.e. (by implication) investigate, interrogate, determine:—ask, question, discern, examine, judge, search. The one who is following the Spirit can judge, discern, and search the Spirit. But they themselves cannot be scrutinized, interrogated, or investigated by any other person. They will be justified in their actions by The Holy Spirit. At times we may look weird or strange by the world, but in the end they will see that we have been following God’s leading.   The story of Joseph in the Old Testament is an excellent story of some one who was above scrutiny. He was sold into the house of Potiphar as a slave. When Potiphar’s wife made up a false accusation against Joseph Potiphar could have him killed but instead Potiphar had throw into the royal prison. He would then meet the royal cup bearer and the royal baker. One of which was able to recommend Joseph to Pharaoh. The whole time Joseph could have given up but he kept serving God an

“But the unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 HCSB https://www.bible.com/72/1co.2.14.hcsb

The person who is not walking with The Spirit cannot understand how the spirit is operating. The unbeliever here don’t not just refer to the nonChristian, but the Christian who does not believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit also.  These people see the works of the spirit as foolishness. They see speaking in tongues, healings and miracles as “off” or not from God. They are just misinformed and miss-guided.  “A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial: to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages. But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.” 1 Corinthians   12:7
